MAST CELL TUMOUR

This is one of the top killers of Boxers. It is a benign, local aggregation of “mast cells” (connective tissue cells which play an important role in acute hypersensitivity reactions such as ATOPY). These mast cells form a nodular tumour that occurs in the skin, and may become malignant.
